ISVA Community Service Scholarship Applications

Calling all college-bound 2022 graduating seniors that are Indian Springs residents. The most exciting time of the year for the Indian Springs Village Association (ISVA) is when we award scholarships to deserving graduating seniors. The essential purpose of ISVA is to raise funds to honor those students who have demonstrated an immense dedication to community service and citizenship. This year’s scholarship applications are currently available on our website and are due in March, 2022. Award winners and their parents will be notified and invited to a special reception held during the ISVA Board Meeting at The Woodlands Township in April. Scholarship information and applications can be downloaded at https://www.indianspringstx.com/senior-scholarship

ISVA has funded roughly $36,000 in scholarships over the last seven years. Funds are raised primarily through the community events such as The Taste of the Village held in the month of October. Recent scholarship recipients by year include:

Plant for Pollinators Village Challenge

More than 100 gardens were registered throughout The Woodlands this year, providing an estimated 28,000 square feet of critical habitat for wildlife. As pollinators face a serious population decline, due to habitat loss, pesticide and herbicide use and climate change, planting a pollinator garden is one way we can support bees, butterflies, and many more pollinators.

Congratulations to the Indian Springs Village residents for winning second place in this year's Plant for Pollinator Village Challenge.

George Mitchell Nature Preserve

The Woodlands Parks and Recreation In partnership with the Bayou Land Conservancy, installed two more boardwalks on the West Trail as low water crossings. This is part of the Spring Creek Nature Trail that is a 14-mile, natural surface trail built largely by community volunteers. It can be accessed at our Flintridge Trailhead.
